Land of Glory
Marianne van Heeswijk (‘s-Hertogenbosch) merges stories in her objects, across generations and cultures. For this she uses materials and objects that she finds in curio shops. Her objects tell a new story and old objects get a new meaning and life.
Eva Krause (Rotterdam) paints abandoned objects in a natural environment. Together with the landscape human traces form a world of its own. There seems to be something strange going on.
Martin Schuster (Leipzig) paints landscapes in a postapocalyptic time. Born in the late 80s, he’s inspired by media influence, video game levels, music videos and plastic toys from his teenage years. There are techno parties, journeys, places to escape from reality and a lot of contemporary surrealism in his paintings.
